There Are… Angels Among Us!!

Isn’t it amazing how just when you need it the most, someone comes along and gives you just want you are looking for? Sometimes we even call them “angels” or “heroes”. For residents in the Georgia area that is what they feel about Gloria Brumfield. “You are a blessing in disguise, and are walking in your gift, helping people like me” says Pamela

C. a resident that Gloria help overcome some incredible challenges.

Pamela was facing some very challenging times dealing with separating from her husband in Georgia while moving to California and being stuck with 3 properties she could not afford. “I was so messed up, didn’t know what I was going to do, I thought life was over for me” says Pamela. Pamela and Gloria had met previously and so Pamela knew that she could call Gloria for assistance and guidance and “trust her with everything” during this difficult time. Pamela was in a bind and desperately needed a miracle “I had three homes going into foreclosure… I was thinking very seriously about going into bankruptcy.” Gloria not only kept the homes from going into foreclosure she fervently searched out buyers and was able to sell not one but ALL THREE HOMES, “I couldn’t believe when she told me that she sold all three properties” says Pamela. As if the challenge of preventing 3 foreclosures and selling all the homes wasn’t enough, during this process Gloria came down with the Chicken Pox and still was able to close all three homes.

Another of Gloria’s clients, Winona shares her story of how she was told by her property manager that they could no longer pay the mortgage and that she would be forced to vacate. Winona was pregnant, recently divorced, paraprofessional in DeKalb County, dealing with an ex-husband who refused to pay any spousal support and she hadn’t had any income in over 4 months. She was in no position to find a new home and was facing some very difficult times. Gloria was able to stop the foreclosure on the home that Winona was renting which allowed for her to stay current on her bills and be able to support her family. At the beginning of 2009 the home was scheduled to go into foreclosure again and Gloria stepped in and stopped the foreclosure. “I am truly thankful and humbled by this blessing. I have had the opportunity to provide for my family and not have the stress and worry of not knowing when I would be evicted. Thank you Gloria for your continued help and support” says Winona.

Gloria got started in short sales when she realized how big a deal this was for the homeowners. “I remember one homeowner cried after the closing, he was trying to be so strong and not let it show, but he was devastated and thought that he was heading towards financial ruin.” Gloria has a strong conviction to help families in her community and understands how important it is for homeowners to confidently go to their Real Estate Agents for help and support. next morning saying “that if I had not sat with her and given her hope that everything was going to be okay, she was going to commit suicide.”

Gloria consistently shows “genuine concern“, support and encouragement to her clients and always offers HOPE during very difficult times. Gloria “understands what the families needs are and exercises great patience in explaining options that were available to us” says Donovan B.

Gloria believes that homeowners need complete support and will soon be launching her website that will provide resources after the sale to help homeowners restore their lives financially, spiritually and in really get back on their feet. Gloria is also driven to help educate other agents on how to effectively complete short sales and welcomes investor angels to help launch her exciting initiative.
